Yes. Eligible publications may be purchased directly from Flying Baton Publications in Canadian dollars. Where a work is also available through Sheet Music Plus or another authorized retailer, that option may remain available as well.
Why would I buy directly from Flying Baton?
Buying direct supports Flying Baton Publications and gives you access to Your Shelf, where you can return later to download the latest edition of a publication you purchased directly from us, including corrections or updates released after the original sale.
What is Your Shelf?
Your Shelf is your way back to publications you purchased directly from Flying Baton. There are no customer passwords to remember. Each time you return, enter the email address used for your purchase and we will send a temporary secure access link to that address.
What if I lose my files?
Return to Your Shelf and verify the email address associated with your purchase. You can then download the latest edition again without buying it a second time.
What happens if Flying Baton corrects or updates a score after I buy it?
When you buy music directly from Flying Baton, Your Shelf will always give you the latest edition. So if we correct a wrong note, fix a typo, or make another important update, you won't be stuck with the old version. If we make a significant correction or revision, we may also email everyone who bought that title to let them know a new edition is available.
Will I be added to a mailing list when I make a purchase?
No. Your purchase email is used for order fulfilment, access to Your Shelf, and service messages connected with your purchases. Promotional newsletters are separate and require an optional, express opt-in. You can unsubscribe from promotional messages at any time without affecting your purchases or access to Your Shelf.
Do I have to buy something to join the Flying Baton mailing list?
No. You can join the mailing list at any time from the Contact page. Signing up is optional, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
How does the shopping cart remember what I added?
The website uses local browser storage to remember the contents of your cart on that browser and device. This is functional storage, not behavioural advertising or cross-site tracking. If you clear your browser data or use a different device, the cart will not follow you.
What currency does the Flying Baton webstore use?
Direct webstore prices are shown and charged in Canadian dollars (CAD). Third-party marketplaces may use other currencies, including U.S. dollars.
How are payments processed?
Direct online payments are securely processed by Stripe. Flying Baton Publications does not receive or store your full credit-card number or payment credentials.
Can I photocopy or print parts for my ensemble?
For Flying Baton sheet-music publications that expressly include our reasonable-reproduction permission, the purchaser may make a reasonable number of copies for the legitimate needs of the purchasing ensemble. This permission does not allow resale, public redistribution, posting the files online, sharing the publication with another organization, or creating an unrestricted library of copies for unrelated groups. Third-party publications or licensed arrangements may have different terms; the licence supplied with the individual work always governs.
Are digital purchases refundable?
Digital sales are normally final once the purchase is completed and access has been provided. If you are charged incorrectly or more than once, receive the wrong product, experience a delivery problem we cannot resolve, or a refund is otherwise required by law, please contact us and we will correct the problem appropriately.
Why do some products have a Flying Baton purchase button while others only link to another retailer?
Not every work can or should be sold directly by Flying Baton. Some arrangements are distributed through licensed marketplaces such as ArrangeMe, Sheet Music Plus, or Sheet Music Direct, and some works may be available only from another publisher or retailer. A direct-purchase option appears only where Flying Baton is authorized and prepared to sell the publication itself.
Can I buy several publications in one order?
Yes. Eligible direct-sale products can be added to the shopping cart and purchased together in a single checkout.
Where can I hear recordings?
Audio releases have their own listening pages with available previews and provider links. Music pages may also include links to recordings, performances, score videos, or related listening material.
Can I perform a Flying Baton play or musical work?
Performance and licensing requirements vary by work. Individual catalogue pages will provide the relevant information or direct you to the appropriate publisher or licensing source.
How do I ask a question about a particular work or purchase?
